Orveon

Branding, communications

Orveon is a collective of premium cosmetics brands including BareMinerals, Laura Mercier, and Buxom. Since their introduction in 2020, we have worked with them to assist with different design needs including launch event products, monthly newsletters and bi-weekly communications.

Since their launch, we have been an ally for their design and communication needs. From the start, Orveon wanted to connect with their employees and be transparent about their separation from parent company Shiseido. We developed a monthly newsletter that worked as a platform for leadership to communicate with everyone in the company. Most recently, we designed a bi-weekly email template to reduce the amount of email overload that employees had complained about.

One of Orveon's values is transparency, a key element to communicate to employees everything going on after their separation from Shiseido. For this reason, we proposed a monthly newsletter to keep everyone updated and connected by sharing articles from leadership and employees from all sections of the company.

Every month, the newsletter focused on one of the values or the mission. Each article served a different purpose and was meant to highlight different areas of the company that were doing work related to that month's theme.

Initially, the newsletter was posted on an website, but eventually, the client decied to transition it to Sharepoint to bring more awareness and interaction to their intranet.

The internal communications team at Orveon received complaints about employees getting too many emails and how time consuming it can be to check each one every time they get to their inbox.

We proposed a solution by combining several articles into a single email, divided by department, that was sent every two weeks. When employees click on an article, it takes them to the intranet where they can read the content but also easily access the other articles from the same edition.
